【Junpei Omori Solo Exhibition ＠VAGUE KOBE「In your garden, I am there」curated by Gallery NAO MASAKI】

This is an introduction to ceramic artist Junpei Omori’s solo exhibition, curated by our gallery director Nao Masaki for VAGUE KOBE.

Having studied ceramics at Kyoto Seika University, Omori’s encounter with Jōmon-era pottery became the catalyst for works that touch on memory and prayer through earth and fire. While exhibiting both in Japan and abroad, his recent creations have absorbed a deepened view of life and death—shaped by serious illness and familial loss—opening a quieter, more introspective realm.This exhibition centers on his most personal series to date, I Am in Your Garden., created in response to his grandmother’s passing. Vessels of soft clay, raised by flame, gently hold the presence that drifts between memories of loved ones and the liminal space of life and death, resonating with the depths of the viewer’s heart.

The artist will be present at the gallery for the first three days of the exhibition.
