Nazuki Sano (1970 - )

Print

Born 1970 in Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. Graduated from the Nagoya College of Art and Design with a specialisation in printmaking, and travelled throughout Asia. Later became an assistant in the printmaking laboratory at the same university. Awards received include the Nishiwaki Sam Hall Grand Prize Exhibition (Nishiwaki Okamotoyama Museum of Art), the Sapporo International Contemporary Print Biennale (Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art), the Hamamatsu City Art Print Grand Prize Exhibition (Hamamatsu City Museum of Art) and the Encouragement Prize of the Toyota City Art Exhibition (Toyota City Museum of Art).

Since then, she has exhibited her work in Denmark, Sweden, Egypt, France, Taiwan and elsewhere in Japan and abroad.

1992-1994 Joined printmaking studio moku, travelled around Asia

1995-1998 Research assistant at the Nagoya College of Art and Design Printmaking Laboratory

1998 4th Sapporo International Contemporary Print Biennale (Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art)

1999 48th Toyota City Art Exhibition (Toyota Municipal Museum of Art)

    The 8th Hamamatsu City Museum of Art Print Grand Prize Exhibition (Hamamatsu City Museum of Art)

2000 Awarded the Encouragement Prize at the 49th Toyota Municipal Art Exhibition (Toyota Municipal Museum of Art).

2002 Artist-in-residence and special lecturer in Denmark

 

1990s - Solo and group exhibitions mainly in Aichi.

2000 - Exhibited in Denmark, Sweden, Egypt and France.
