From Saturday, October 31st, "SPLIT NANGAA STILL VIBING," a joint exhibition by calligrapher Lintalow Hashiguchi and painter Kuniyoshi Ixima, both affiliated with our gallery, will be held at "Half hitch" in Minami-ku, Fukuoka City.

This exhibition brings together Ikushima's paintings and Hashiguchi's calligraphy, who formed the unit "Nangarland" advocating contemporary Nanga painting, for the first time in several years. The exhibition title translates to "The Divided Nangarland is Still Alive (And Feeling Good)." This time, the two have brought their recent works, and by having their respective paintings and calligraphic works resonate with each other, they attempt to create "Nangar Another World," with contemporary landscape painting and contemporary calligraphy as keywords.

These two artists, who have continued to create their work in their respective locations, have influenced each other, with their work shifting from calligraphy to painting and vice versa. Please come and see how the expressions they have each developed resonate with each other in the same space.

On the first day, Saturday, October 31st, we will be holding a talk and live drawing event.

(Reservations required. Further details will be announced as soon as they are finalized.)

We look forward to your visit.
