Akiko Horio in "HARD LINE WOMEN": Installation Views at Nonaka-Hill, Los Angeles

Since Wednesday, September 16, Akiko Horio, an artist represented by our gallery, has been taking part in the group exhibition "HARD LINE WOMEN" at Nonaka-Hill in Los Angeles. Here is a look at the installation.
The exhibition brings together twelve Japanese women artists who have worked from the 1960s to the present, presenting geometric abstraction. Facing masculine ideals and grandeur with rationality and geometry, these artists are introduced through a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, installation, and photography. Participating artists include Atsuko Tanaka, Aiko Miyawaki, Rei Kawakubo, and Tomie Ohtake.
Akiko Horio is showing six works made between 2018 and 2022. If you are in Los Angeles, we hope you will stop by.
