Kimihiko Hino (1975 - )
Calligrapher

Born 1975 in Hokkaido, Japan. Lives and works in Tokyo. Graduated from the Department of Japanese Literature, Faculty of Literature, Nishimatsu Gakusha University. In 1994, when he entered the Japanese literature department, he joined the calligraphy club by chance and was struck by the fact that he could no longer take his eyes off Inoue Yuichi's work “Conte mowowari", a calligraphy piece in which words are simply written with a pencil. He chooses words through the filter of the self, and creates works that capture the zeitgeist in the act of cutting out the existence of their surroundings.
