On Sunday, June 15, the new space of biscuit gallery opened with its inaugural exhibition, “Immortality,” a two-person show featuring Akiko Horio and Sawako Nasu, a promising young painter.

 

In Horio’s 2023 solo exhibition at our gallery, her pared-down forms and colors conveyed a quiet transparency and a powerful sense of presence that seemed to fill the entire space.

 

This new exhibition came to fruition through Sawako Nasu’s passionate proposal to Horio, and features six new worksby Akiko Horio.
